In the Time of of the Barbarian Horde, or the First Age of Man, when most of man was running rampant across the land killing each other, a group of nomads settled into what was to become the City-State League of Spartia. These simple people were farmers and built a few small villages in an area that became known as Kaim. Over time many other groups of people, who were not always peaceful, began to settle the neighboring land. To protect themselves, the Kaim-men built a grand walled city to protect their goods and people from the their less civilized neighbors.
About one hundred years passed and the peninsula the Kaim-men settled was now dotted with city-states. Being a much more powerful, and sometimes paranoid, group the Kaim-men trained a large army. Durring the Second Age of Man they took a few close by city states to add to their own. Over time they threatened the very freedom of the other city states. Banding together the city states of Spartia and Darble united with the other lesser city states and defeated the City-State of Kaim, driving the Kaim-men from the peninsula.
Over the course of a few hundred years the Kaim-men traveled the lands and eventually settled the Claw Peninsula. Changing their name to Camen to simplify their writing they began to rebuild the army they had lost. Over time their newly formed city-state took over the entire peninsula. Over the next 500 years as a full country the Camen Empire took over most of the Western Lands of Hakur, which lasted intil the age of Abandonment, or The Fourth Age of Man.
Camen are found mostly in the Holy Camen Empire, cut can be found traveling most lands.

Recent History
Social Structure
The people of the Holy Camen Empire are from one of two main castes, they are either Citizens of the Empire or Sclavus, which translates as Slave in other languages. The primary difference between a Citizen and a Sclavus is that only citizens are allowed to own land and vote in the elections. The Sclavus are protected by a number of laws that are in place to provide protection from abuse and to keep them from being taken advantage of as well as providing a path for Citizenship.
In order to become a Citizen, a Slcavus has to prove him or herself in any of a number of areas of life. These areas include service to the Empire in the form of military duty, purchasing their Citizenship which can be done through showing their ability to acquire funds purely through their own actions or through gaining favor and influence amongst other Sclavus and Citizens, fighting in the Gladiatorial games and showing both good sportsmanship as well as martial ability.
