Half-Elves

Born mostly within the confines of the Kingdom of Selense, these Elvish beings are not quite elves and they are also not quite human. Depending upon their parentage, a Half-Elf could have any number of elfin physical features although, most often, those features are the ears and slight build accompanied by light hair and often bright eyes.

An average half-elf born from the union of a Sun Elf and a human will bring forth a child with hair of a golden blonde, like the softly rustling wheat of fall. The tone of their skin will resemble the skin of their human half more then that of their elfin heritage. The eyes are often a piercing blue or green and they often dress themselves to bring out the color of their eyes.

Most half-elves have a strong attunement with nature and can be found in the great woods of Selense or living within smaller villages and towns far from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. Which is why the half-elves are commonly called Sylvan or Wood Elves. Due their prolific existence, there are many communities of these “Wood Elves” and they often come together with humans, which has given rise to the Quarter-elf, which is really someone that is far more human then elf, but may have a few elfin features coursing through their veins.

An average half-elf will be born from the union of a Sun Elf and a human or from half-elf and half-eld will bring forth a child with hair of a golden blonde, like the softly rustling wheat of fall or a slight auburn, like the reddish tones the leaves of an oak wears in fall. Social Structure

Sociable with humans and elves alike, half-elves see their place in existence as where they should be, since there are so many half-elves in their communities. It wasn't always like this, but time has allowed half-elf communities to grow and thrive.
