The Hill Dwarves, which are often found living amongst man throughout the realms, but mostly within the Kingdom of Hesponia where they make up a sizeable bulk of the populace, as Sun Elves do within the Kingdom of Selense. The common Hill Dwarf can be sometimes seen as a somewhat dour and sour personality, but for the most part can be considered rather upbeat, when compared to the stories of their Mountain Dwarf bretheren.
General Appearance
Low Dwarves stand about three quarters the height of an average human and are roughly twice as thick. They typically wear their hair in a flowing style that is just parted down the middle of their heads. Many of them wear long whiskered mustaches and some of those wear a their facial hair in a Van Dyke. If involved in the martial forces, they wear either a wide brimmed hat or a conquistador helm along with a breastplate that allows them to be quite agile.

Social Structure
Low Dwarves rule much of the land of Hesponia along with the humans of that nation. The two societies are closely linked with both Low Dwarven and Human Wardens ruling over tracks of land under the High Warden of Hesponia. They are a passionate people in love with poetry, romantic ideas and music, especially the music of the Hesponian Guitar, a stringed instrument capable of producing impressive sound.

Low Dwarves favor the following classes: Fighter, Bard, Knight, Paladin, Cleric, Rogue and Hesponian Swashbuckler*
