The Rovani people are nomadic travelers since the Age of Ascension, with no true kingdom of their own they are traders bringing goods and stories of far off lands to all of the kingdoms of Western Hakur. Also known as gypsies to the other races these people are often colorful entertainers, and many well know bards are Rovani people.
When traveling in Rovani lands, one can make camp one evening and wake in the morning, suddenly finding themselves just on the outskirts of a fabulous colorful city of tents and light wooden structures that has sprung up during the night. These traveling cities of the Rovani can be found at many prepared city bases that dot the landscape in places where many non-nomadic people would build a longer lasting city.
Being a people struck with a wanderlust, these temporary cities are more then perfect for the lifestyle of the Rovani people. At one visit a Rovani city could have but a few hundred people working, trading, visiting and living. The next month, the city could swell to over several thousand people, with none of the people that were at the city previously. Two weeks later, the city could once again be empty landscape awaiting the next group of Rovani to gather and grow again.
The one place this is different, is the city of Vorsaith. This one place is considered the only permanent Rovani city to be built and it is almost no surprise that the city is mostly the permanent residence of people who are not Rovani. The city proper has a constantly flucuating population of Rovani that bring an almost continuous shifting of colored tents, streamers and Rovani family banners to the streets.
If there is a place on the planet that one could find almost any good imaginable, the city of Vorsaith is certainly the closest any being could find.
General Appearance
Dressing in baggy loose fitting colorful silks these people take their fasion quite seriously. Men often wear goattees and long mustaches. Their hair is often long and pulled back into a pony tail. Women generally dress similairly to the men unless they are entertaining. At that time the beautiful dance dresses come out to astonish the eyes with a swirl of color. They wear their hair very long often reaching below their knees, often they have it tied up so as to not have any drop below their shoulders.
A handsome race they have fair skin, inqusitive eyes, and charming smiles. Their hair color ranges from auburn to black.
Social Structure
They live in a loose often considered chaotic social system, with seemingly no permanence and no real way to find a particular Rovani family, merchant or group. In reality, they are so well organized and adapted to their nomadic ways that within a few days of sending a request to find someone or something within their lands, it is possible to have an answer of where to go to meet that person or find that item within a week's travel.
