Sun Elves

Commonly seen in most all lands the Sun Elves call no single place home, except for some cities within the Kingdom of Selense. They are a friendly group of elves with ties to most human groups, and even on good terms with Low Dwarves.

General Appearance

The average Sun Elf stands about equal in height to just shorter half-elves. They have golden brown colored skin and their hair color is a golden blonde to golden brown in coloration. Their eyes are of a light orange coloration that resembles the sun at one of it's most beautiful parts of the day. Their facial features are longer than that of a human being with almond shaped eyes, and eye brows that start where eyebrows start on men, but rise up much higher, giving the Sun Elf the appearance of always being happy or quite surprised. In comparison to humans, the Sun Elf ears are also quite long as well reaching lengths as long as 6 inches.

The Sun Elves favor no paticular style of dress in other lands choosing to wear the common styles of whatever lands they are traveling in out of respect.

While in their own homeland, however, the Sun Elves prefer to wear bright yellows, oranges and the colors of the sunrise, and sunset. These garments are made of a special Elven silk and dyes, that also fetch quite a large price in human markets. These garments also have no uniform design being both loose and form fitting based an elf's personal preference.

Social Structure

Sociable with humans, Sun Elves see their place as the stewards of nature and the ones to keep balance between man and nature. They live within the human and Half-Elven cities of Selense as well as within cities of their own within the Kingdom of Selense.

Favored Classes

Sun Elves favor the following classes: Ranger, Druid, Bard, Wizard, Illusionist, Fighter, Elven Archer, Elven Arcane Blade

Racial Traits and Abilities:

Long Life: Sun Elves, similar to the Grey Elven cousins, are a long lived race of man. However, they are nowhere near as long lived as the Grey Elves. The average Sun Elf can live to be 500 years or so before sucumbing to the rigors of time.

Enhanced Senses: With their extra long ears, Sun Elves are able to perceive sounds that other races of man cannot hope to hear. Because of this, they receive a +5 bonus to all hearing checks.

Ability Modification: Being quite agile, Sun Elves receive a +1 to Dexterity and due to their light frames have a -1 to Constitution.

Spell Resistance: Living life to its fullest and with a Sunny disposition, Sun Elves are afraid of almost nothing. For this, they receive a +10 Bonus to saves against Fear effects.

Spot Hidden Doors (Wisdom): With their keen eyes, Sun Elves are able to notice things other races of man will miss, for these checks, they receive a +2 bonus.

Move Silently (Dexterity): This remains as it is in the C&C Player's Handbook.

Twilight Vision: This remains as it is in the C&C Player's Handbook.

Ranger Modifier: This remains as it is in the C&C Player's Handbook.

Languages: Hakurian Trade Tongue, Sun Elven, Goblin, Phrenc, Anglish

Weapon Training: Same as the Elf entry in the C&C PHB.
